Netzer Gauteng Recap January – June 2013

Netzer Recap:

Over these past few months Netzer has held amazing, fun filled weekly events: We’ve had a fabulous assortment of Shabbat Madness activities, Tu B’Shvat Seder, Purim Parties, hosted a leadership seminar and “Survivor Pesach” day. We remembered Yom HaZikaron with Bet David, built a bonfire in Beit Emanuel on Lag B’omer, Stayed up all night on Shavuot, and watched movies with parents and kids of the community, to name a few.

Our most recent event was our Tikkun (social action) trip to the zoo. It was very successful day, with 20 kids, 9 madrichim and 1 gorilla, all having a whale of a time in learning how to approach a social action project.

Unfortunately we will not be running any more Netzer activities until the 19th of July as we will be on Mazkirut-Seminar, and then Netzer Winter Camp in Durban. However when we return we will continue with our programme and we look forward to the support and participation of our congregations. We hope for a bigger turn out at events to come, we hope to get to know more kids, and more parents, we hope that families will support us in making the schlepp to our different event venues, and we hope to continue to provide the Netzer experience to our youth.

Keep your eyes peeled from the 19th July for our next exciting activities!
All the best,
The Netzer Gauteng Active Mazkirut Members
